Grammy Award Winning Producer and DJ, Afrojack, rings closing bell at
NASDAQ as dance music company SFX goes public with IPO.
Rounds out historic week for Afrojack that started with him cementing
his hands in the Hollywood Walk of Fame and wraps with the release of
his single The Spark on October 11th.
Wednesday, October 9, New York Today saw producer and DJ Afrojack
ring the Closing Bell at Nasdaq MarketSite, in New York¹s Time Square as
SFX, the electronic dance music promotions company, went public. As one
of the key influencers in the Electronic Music Industry, Afrojack
represented this long anticipated move by ringing the iconic bell, which
marked the close of trade, at 4.00pm ET.
The ringing of the closing bell is part of a historic week for the
global producer and DJ, who was honored in the prestigious and exclusive
handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Saturday. Described as
one of the main forces behind EDM¹s growth and as the second DJ ever to
receive the honor, it further cemented his position within EDM and the
music industry as a whole.
Speaking about ringing the closing bell at the Nasdaq Afrojack said,
