'Can't Stop Me' is #1 on Beatport! Afrojack and Shermanology's new single hit the top of Beatport's Main Top 100 within a stunning 3 days!
It’s finally here! ‘Can’t Stop Me’, Afrojack’s long-awaited single with Shermanology hits Beatport’s shelves for its official release! Afrojack’s brand new single together with the Dutch DJ/vocalist trio is the biggest way they could’ve possibly started this year. The record created an immense buzz on the internet since the first time Afrojack and Shermanology performed it publicly and has already been declared as “Afrojack’s biggest tune since ‘Take Over Control’”.
‘Can’t Stop Me’ showcases the magic between two highly talented teams. The record contains the signature Afrojack sound that, combined with Shermanology’s typical anthemic style and vocals, results in a track that will create electrifying experiences on dance floors worldwide. It may be of no surprise that two of the greatest DJs alive, David Guetta and Tiësto, immediately added the track to their playlist the moment they received the promo.

'Lionheart' out now!

Afrojack delivers a brand new masterpiece on his own Wall Recordings, and there's no need to emphasize the level of epicness for this record. The hype around Afrojack is growing in a pace no one can keep up with.
'Lionheart' is a typical Afrojack track, so mind you, the #7 DJ in the world takes a serious heavyweight out with this original production. Played by David Guetta and labeled as the 'Essential New Tune' in Pete Tong's BCC Radio 1 show, 'Lionheart' is the next big thing to look out for.
'Lionheart' is out now and exclusively available on Beatport.

Afrojack hits DJ Mag's #7!

"Wow! I'm so happy this happened! Most of all I am extremely proud of my fans for showing me so much love. It's crazy to know that so many people voted for me as their favorite DJ." - Afrojack
Afrojack enters the top 10 of the DJ Mag Top 100. During the official award ceremony at Amsterdam's Passengers Terminal it was announced that Afrojack gained the #7 position in this year's chart. Afrojack ascends an astonishing twelve positions since he entered DJ Mag's Top 100 last year with a #19 position.Read more
The DJ Mag Top 100 is considered the most important poll to rate a DJ's popularity since the winners are chosen by the public. In the past three months dance music fanatics were able to cast a vote for their favorite DJ's, resulting in Afrojack grabbing the #7 spot.
Afrojack's position in this year's DJ Mag Top 100 seems like the biggest reward he could get for his work in this already very successful year. Afrojack was already awarded a Grammy award for his remix of Madonna's 'Revolver' with David Guetta, two International Dance Music Awards, an Ibiza DJ Award for best remixer and a European Border Breakers Award, but his most memorable achievement of 2011 came when 'Give Me Everything', Afrojack's collaboration with Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Nayer, reached the #1 spot in the Billboad Hot 100. At that moment, Afrojack's name was connected to four tracks in the 'Hot 100', including his own record 'Take Over Control'. The tracks Afrojack released on his own label Wall Recordings did not go unnoticed either. Releases like 'No Beef', his collaborations with Steve Aoki, and 'Prutataaa', a collab with R3hab, both reached the top of the online download charts. In the meanwhile, Afrojack kept on travelling the globe to play at world's premier dance events and he introduced his own party 'Jacked'.

From the 19th until the 22rd of October the complete international Dance music industry focuses on Holland’s capital, Amsterdam for Amsterdam Dance Event 2011. As one of the most important ambassadors of Dutch electronic music in the past year, Afrojack couldn’t be anywhere else but in Amsterdam to participate in the four-day event. On October 20th, Afrojack will shake the city on its foundations as he invites his Wall Recordings team for an ADE special of ‘Jacked’ at the venue where he successfully premiered his own party, AIR.
Afrojack’s ‘Jacked’ returns to AIR within three months after the spectacular and sold out first edition in Amsterdam’s modern heart of clubbing. A follow up for the event was inevitable and Afrojack and his DJ-companions reunited for a beach edition of ‘Jacked’ at Dutch Beachclub Bloomingdale and the international premier of ‘Jacked’ at London’s Ministry of Sound followed soon, both resulting in electrifying nights.
For this special occasion during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Afrojack and the complete Wall Recordings crew will provide you with the upcoming and exclusive cuts of the Wall Recordings sound. Quintino is the first name on the list of artist who’ll line with Afrojack on the 20th of October. No doubt he’ll present you his brand new record ‘The One and Only’, forthcoming on Wall Recordings, during the night. Afrojack also invited Shermanology, with whom he recently joined forces with for the second time after their first collab ‘Grindin’, to bring the energy at AIR to an even higher level, combining their unique live vocals and DJ skills. R3hab will provide ‘Jacked’ with his signature ‘chainsaw madness’. The up-and-comer was responsible for Wall Recordings’ last monster release ‘Sending My Love’ and already has some new projects lined up to be released on Afrojack’s label. As a solid part of the Wall Recordings team, Apster and Bobby Burns couldn’t be missed during the ADE special. Especially when you consider they played alongside Afrojack at almost all previous edition of Jacked. Zawdi MC, who’ll use his familiar voice to host Afrojack’s event, completes the list.

'Take Over Control' nominated for Edison Music Award
Afrojack’s collaboration with Eva Simons ‘Take Over Control’ just got nominated for the Edison Pop ‘11, one of Holland’s most prestigious music awards. These annual awards are one of the oldest music awards on the planet. With only the Grammy’s being a year older, Afrojack gets the opportunity to win another long going music award. Fellow Dutch DJ’s Armin van Buuren and Tiesto are amongst the other nominees.
Next to the nomination, ´Take Over Control´ is still on the rise in the US Billboard Hot 100. Currently it is holding the #43 spot. As it is rare for a dance track to appear in the US chart, we can say the unique sound of Dutch innovator Afrojack is catching on all over.

Afrojack wins two IDMA awards!
March 12, 2011 (Miami, FL) - Hot on the heels of his recent Grammy win this past February for “Best Remix” (Afrojack and David Guetta’s remix of Madonna’s “Revolver’), Afrojack has once again proven his Midas touch by taking two of the music industry’s most influential awards.
Read more“Wow, it’s such a surprise to hear that I’ve won both awards. It’s an honor to know that the voting is done by the fans out there, so thank you to everyone that supports me 24/7! Much respect and see you in Miami very soon!” – Afrojack
The IDMA’s are the most influential awards standard in the United States, because of their accurate reflection of trends in music, artists, and technology. Voted on exclusively by the people for both the nomination phase, and the poll itself, it has become an essential and dominate force within the electronic music. Afrojack has seen an amazing surge in popularity over the past year, conquering both the underground and commercial sides of dance music simultaneously. With a musical originality that borders on genius and a fanbase that is growing exponentially, Afrojack is one of EDM’s greatest success stories.

Winning 'Best Remix' for his co-collaboration with David Guetta on Madonna's track; "Revolver", the young Dutchman had this to say about the win. "I am a very proud man today. Taking home the Grammy is an amazing honor and I don't know if its actually sunk in that I've won. I have been told here in LA that I'm the first artist from The Netherlands to take home a Grammy, so if this is true, well, I just can't believe it.'
Afrojack was in Los Angeles and attended the Grammy live broadcast where everyone from Will.I.AM to Will Smith took time to congratulate him.

Afrojack receives Grammy nomination!
The remix, done for Madonna’s song “Revolver,” was penned with David Guetta in 2010.
Released by Warner Brothers Music, the club version charted prominently and received heavy airplay. It was one of the standout commercial dance crossover hits of 2010.
Fans noticed immediately that Afrojacks name was mysteriously missing from the credits of the ‘One Love Club Remix’ on the Grammy site, when the nominations came through. After some serious back and forth between management and the Grammys, word came in on February 7th, 2011 that Afrojack would be credited properly for his work on the remix, and his Grammy nomination would be officially recognized.
“We’ve added Afrojack as a nominee for the Madonna remix…
Best and good luck to Afrojack on Sunday!” Sean Riley - Grammy Awards
“It was hard not to be able to say anything about this”, says Afrojack, “but we had to wait on the Grammy’s come to back to us. And now, I guess its official! I would like to thank David for asking me to collaborate with him on this remix in the first place, and for his help in getting my role in this remix recognized.”
David Guetta and Afrojack have worked together on many high profile remixes and original productions in the past year and have several new projects in the pipeline.
